Services available include:
- Social support – both group and individual
- Accompanied activities (such as support to attend appointments)
- Cultural support (such as accessing translating & interpreting services and support to engage in cultural activities)
- Digital education and support
- Assistance and/or expenses to maintain personal affairs
What are the service costs?
Under the Support at Home Program, services in the independence supports category may incur participant contributions alongside the government funding provided.
This is dependent on the participant’s personal circumstances and will be established and advised to participants directly by Services SA.

Personal care
Includes assistance with self-care activities of daily living, self-administration of medication and continence management.
Social support and community engagement
Includes access to group social support, accompanied activities and outings, cultural support and assistance with personal affairs.
Therapeutic services for independent living
Includes services such as acupuncture, art therapy, chiropractor and remedial massage.
Assistive technology and home modifications
As per the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications list, including wraparound services, maintenance, and repair.
Respite
Includes flexible respite and community and centre-based respite care.
Transport
Includes direct (driver and car provided) and indirect (taxi or rideshare) transport.
Government support and funding
My Aged Care aims to make it easier for older people, their families, and carers to find information on ageing and aged care in Australia. My Aged Care provides online information and trained call centre staff to help get an older person's needs assessed and to find and access services.
